About Soma Doctor

Soma Doctor is designed for healthcare professionals, including providers, medical assistants, and office staff, to monitor patients' vitals in real-time and ensure their well-being.
‍
Users can do these things with the application:
‍
• Instant alerts when patients' vitals go out of normal range
• Monitor up to 9 vitals (heart rate, blood pressure, spo2, etc.)
• Analyze health trends over different time periods
• Manage billing and staffing for each practice
• Live chat with patients
• Conduct clinical trials for academic research (available for selected clients)
• Schedule and host virtual visits

Story & Challenges

The entire project started early 2020 right after the pandemic kicked in. We witnessed how hardly many small healthcare organizations were hit. Therefore we decided to start Soma Provider project to help doctors stay posted about their patients' health condition without making the commitment to the commute.
‍
Challenges and limitations I met in this project include:‍
• Plan & manage the design of multiple ongoing products at the same time;
• Undecided business model require me to make (some were very big) design changes very frequently;
• Remotely collaborated with other team (spread oversea) members during COVID breakout.
